Riftmaster ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy informs you how we look after your personal data when you use the Riftmaster mobile application and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. The Data We Collect

Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

Identity Data: Username, email address, and optional Riot ID.
Technical Data: Internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this app.
Usage Data: Information about how you use our app, including quiz scores, game progression, mastery levels, and session statistics.
Marketing and Communications Data: Your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

To provide the Service: Managing your account, tracking your ELO and progression, and providing leaderboard functionality.
To improve our App: Using analytics to understand user behavior and fix bugs/performance issues.
Security: To prevent fraud and maintain the integrity of our leaderboards.
Compliance: To comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

4. Third-Party Partners

We work with certain third parties to provide essential services within the app. These partners have their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob

Provides advertising services. They may collect device identifiers to serve personalized ads.

We fetch game assets and data via Riot's public APIs. Your Riot ID may be processed for profile customization.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the "Profile Settings" menu in the app. Alternatively, you can request data deletion by contacting us at contact@riftmaster.app. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our active databases within 30 days.

6. Your Legal Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is intended for users of at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
